For almost thirty years ARE has offered individualized HIV support care services to those impacted by HIV.

Through comprehensive Medical Case Management services, ARE offers referrals in order to ensure optimal health care access to:

  • Substance abuse
  • Housing
  • Dental
  • Nutritional support
  • Transportation services

Our Medical Case Management team provides a safe and stigma-free environment for people living with HIV in which to feel comfortable in accessing life-saving medical services.

Because HIV has long been a stigmatized disease, ARE works diligently to dispel stigma, helping people to understand that HIV can be a manageable issue like heart disease or diabetes are.

Through customized medical and support service interventions, ARE case management can help people living with HIV have healthier and happier lives.

At ARE, we believe in an integrative approach to health care.

We offer wellness and support group services for our clients, which can improve mood, stress-levels, decrease blood pressure, and naturally improve immune system responses.

We aim to treat the entire person through comprehensive and preventative health care approaches.

 

Eligibility

ARE’s HIV supportive care services are available to people living with HIV living in the Lord Fairfax Health District, which includes the counties of Warren, Page, Shenandoah and Frederick, Clarke County and the city of Winchester.  To be prepared for an eligibility assessment, an individual should collect the following:  proof of residency, proof of a month’s worth of household income and proof of insurance, if applicable.  This supportive documentation is required prior to receiving services.
