HIV Services

For almost thirty years ARE has offered individualized HIV support care services to those impacted by HIV.

At AIDS Response Effort, Inc., our Ryan White Part B Case Management Services are dedicated to providing comprehensive support for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for our clients by ensuring they have access to essential medical care and supportive services.

Our Services Include:

  • Personalized Care Plans: We develop individualized care plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, addressing medical, psychological, and social aspects of living with HIV/AIDS.
  • Medical Coordination: Our case managers work closely with healthcare providers to coordinate medical appointments, treatments, and follow-up care, ensuring clients receive timely and effective medical attention.
  • Access to Medications: We assist clients in accessing HIV medications and other necessary prescriptions through various assistance programs.
  • Supportive Services: We connect clients with supportive services such as mental health counseling, substance use disorder treatment, housing assistance, and nutrition services to address the broader aspects of their well-being.
  • Wellness Services: Wellness groups are available at ARE to individuals living with HIV.  Wellness groups offerings encompass breathing practices, systematic deep relaxation (yoga nidra), and restorative yoga, among others. (Ryan White clients can contact their Case Manager for information and in house referral).
  • Housing Services: We connect clients to Housing Case Management services including RWB Housing options and HOPWA (Housing Opportunities for People with HIV/AIDS.
  • Resource Navigation: We help clients navigate complex healthcare systems and access available community resources, including financial assistance, transportation services, and legal aid.

 

Eligibility

ARE’s HIV supportive care services are available to people living with HIV living in the Lord Fairfax Health District, which includes the counties of Warren, Page, Shenandoah and Frederick, Clarke County and the city of Winchester.

To be prepared for an eligibility assessment, an individual should collect the following:

  • proof of residency
  • proof of a month’s worth of household income
  • proof of insurance, if applicable.
