World AIDS Day 2016

World AIDS Day 2016

World AIDS Day is December 1st, 2016.

This day is a remembrance of the past 35 years of the HIV epidemic. Countless lives have been lost to the disease, and the epidemic changed the world.

There are still millions of people living with HIV today. Possibly hundreds of thousands more living with HIV that don’t know their status. HIV is still prevalent in many areas across the world, including the deep South.

We still have work to do to get to zero new HIV infections. wad-2016

Please join ARE December 1st at 6pm, at the Our Health Cam
pus to reflect and discuss the work still to be done. We can “Get to Zero” by 2020, but we must all work together.

Light refreshments will be served. A candle-light vigil will be held immediately after the ceremony.
